Provider Notice issued 07/03/06

To: Participating Physicians

Date: July 3, 2006

Re: All Kids 30-Day Payment Cycle

We are pleased to announce that under Governor Blagojevich’s new All Kids program expansion the department will implement a 30-day payment cycle for physicians serving All Kids participants age 18 and under. The department anticipates that this process will help with the provider’s cash flow and increase participation.

Effective with dates of service July 1, 2006, and after, the department will begin paying physician claims for all children enrolled in All Kids, including children previously covered under Medicaid or the KidCare programs, within 30 days of department receipt of an error free claim. Department receipt is determined by the document control number assignment. In order to be eligible for the 30-day payment cycle, the services must be rendered by a physician licensed to practice medicine in all its branches and billed under the rendering physician’s provider ID.
