Pre-Admission Screening

 

Sex Offender Background Check

The attached SLF Handbook update informs facilities of changes to 89 Ill. Adm. Code 146. Effective May 1, 2006, residents transferring from a nursing facility to a SLF or between SLFs are no longer required to be screened if there is no break in service between the two settings.

 

All SLF residents are required to be checked against the Sexual Offender Registration Web site.

 

SLF staff is no longer required to complete and submit a Quarterly Utilization Report.

 

There are several language revisions and clarifications that do not involve policy changes.
