Provider Notice issued 09/01/04

E-Mail Notification of New Provider Releases

To: All Enrolled Providers
Date: September 1, 2004
Re: E-Mail Notification of New Provider Releases

The department is pleased to announce a new feature on its Web site that allows providers to register to receive e-mail notification when new provider information has been posted to the Web site, immediately following department approval. Registering to receive the e-mail notification allows providers immediate access to the latest developments regarding department policy, billing procedures, etc.

Providers may register for this service at <http://www.hfs.illinois.gov/provrel/>. The department groups information on the Web site by provider category. Providers may select as many categories as necessary and, to ensure notification of all applicable information, are encouraged to check the category of "All Medical Assistance Providers," in addition to any provider specific categories. If your e-mail address changes, you will need to reregister with your new e-mail address. If you no longer wish to receive these notifications send an e-mail request to hfs.webmaster@illinois.gov to be removed from the list. The registration is not restricted and providers should share this new capability with their billing services, payees or any other interested entity.

Paper copies will continue to be mailed to all enrolled providers. However, the department is planning to develop a system in the near future that will allow providers to request the manner in which they wish to receive their notifications (i.e., electronic or paper copy).

Questions regarding this notice should be directed to the Bureau of Comprehensive Health Services at 217-782-5565.
