| Re: | Revision to the Reimbursement Rates for Fiscal Year 2005 Ambulatory Procedures Listing (APL) |
In an informational notice dated June 3, 2004, the department advised hospitals of the HIPAA mandated APL HCPCS/CPT coding conversion, effective July 1, 2004. The Fiscal Year (FY) 2005 APL listing was posted to the department’s Web site with the FY’04 reimbursement rates. The department has re-posted the new FY’05 rates on the department Web site at <http://www.dpaillinois.com/reimbursement/apl.html>.
These rate modifications are in response to a potential case mix shift, resulting from the change from ICD-9CM codes to HCPCS codes as mandated by the HIPAA transactions and codes set rules. The Department will review these modifications at the midpoint of FY’05, and may modify the rate structure further.
Any questions regarding this notice may be directed to the Bureau of Comprehensive Health Services at 217-782-5565.
