Participant Co-payments Effective July 1, 2003

As a result of the recent legislative session, the following change will be made to participant co-payments for drugs.

Effective with service dates of July 1, 2003, and after, the co-payment for generic prescriptions will be eliminated. The brand name prescription drug co-payment remains at $3. Over-the-counter drugs are not subject to the co-payments. All other policy and billing procedures relating to pharmacy co-payments remain unchanged.

Reimbursement and co-payments under the KidCare Share Plan, KidCare Premium Plan and SeniorCare are not affected by this change.
